Definitief competitieprogramma, inclusief viering 101 jaar Vetkampstraat

De KNVB heeft het competitieschema voor het seizoen 2020/2021 vastgesteld. Go Ahead Eagles begint en eindigt het reguliere seizoen in Zuid-Holland, tegen respectievelijk FC Dordrecht (30 augustus 2020) en Excelsior (14 mei 2021).

Ten opzichte van het conceptprogramma heeft de voetbalbond op verzoek van Go Ahead Eagles één wijziging door kunnen voeren: de wedstrijd tegen Helmond Sport wordt niet gespeeld op vrijdag 30 april, maar op zondag 2 mei 2021.

Op die dag is het exact 101 jaar geleden dat de allereerste wedstrijd werd gespeeld op de plek waar Go Ahead Eagles nu nog steeds speelt. Helaas konden de 100 jaar Vetkampstraat-festiviteiten afgelopen mei niet doorgaan, dus hoopt de club dat deze op 2 mei 2021 alsnog gehouden kunnen worden.
